Hi, this will be the first blog post I ever make, and to start this, I want to talk about something I really like and started getting obsessed with:

Creating a Homelab!

Right now, I am not at home, I am doing an internship in Slovenia for school but that does not stop myself from imagining. Right now, I already have a basic homelab:
a Raspberry 5 with 4GB of RAM and a 2TB external SSD.

On it, I already run a lot of services:

  • a tangled knot

  • my own atproto PDS

  • a full Jellyfin stack

  • multiple websites of mine

  • a kiwix instance

  • a matrix server

  • and a discord bot for my classmates

But I want to do more!

I started buying hardware for a rack with: router, switch, NAS and a compute server.

A spreadsheet with all the stuff I bought/wanna buy

Yes this is a lot of money, I am almost burning half my internship pay for it, but I am too obsessed to stop 😔

I already have some sort of a plan of what I want to host on each machine but this will wait for a future blog post and maybe also when I go back and start setting up everything.
